Artist’s Statement
“This piece of Community Art was created by the contribution of images provided by members of a community depicting their idea of what community means to them.
Community means a whole range of things to a whole range of people…..
My experience of “Community” is lots of different people contributing a lot of different things with many different interdependencies.
As you can see, this community is made up of a vast range of people undertaking a wide variety of roles.
People of all ages contributed to the Artwork as it symbolises how age is no barrier to being a valuable contribution to this community
The key to successful communities is recognising our own contribution is part of that!”
